Taiwan Day 2024: A Home Run for Culture and Community

At Tang and Gau Global, we believe in the power of cultural celebration to bring communities together, inspire connection, and honor our shared heritage. That’s why we were proud to partner once again with the North American Taiwanese Division I Baseball League for Taiwan Day 2024, held on May 25th at the iconic Oakland Coliseum.

Following the overwhelming success of last year’s event, which drew over 2,300 participants, this year’s celebration was even bigger and better. The day blended the excitement of Major League Baseball with the vibrant spirit of Taiwanese culture, creating an unforgettable experience for all who attended.

A Day of Culture, Music, and Baseball

Taiwan Day isn’t just about the game—it’s about sharing the richness of Taiwanese culture with the broader community. This year’s event brought that mission to life through a series of dynamic performances and special guests who captured the essence of Taiwan’s artistic and cultural heritage.

• The Taiwan Steel Eagles Cheerleaders – Wing Stars electrified the crowd with their high-energy routines, offering an authentic taste of Taiwanese cheering culture that had fans on their feet throughout the day.
• Dazhi, a legend in the Taiwanese hip-hop scene, delivered a powerful performance that resonated with both longtime fans and newcomers to his music.
• Feng Yi, a talented ukulele player, added a melodic and heartfelt touch to the festivities, showcasing the versatility and beauty of Taiwanese musical traditions.
• Adding to the excitement, Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, joined us as the special kickoff guest. His presence highlighted the contributions of Taiwanese innovators on the global stage and served as an inspiring reminder of what our community can achieve.
